I have updated the year-round, flexible RCIA program I developed as a Director of Faith Formation, removing specific references to the parish in which I was working and preparing them for the shift that is being made to the OCIA (Order for Christian Initiation of Adults). I intend to gather these into a single document at some point, but work on my book has intruded. I am posting them, therefore, as they are such that they may be of use to interested parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are intended to be used any time of the year and assume what the catechumenate was originally developed to embody\u2014a flexible, individual journey into relationship with Christ that emphasizes becoming a part of the body of Christ, rather than a series of classes inculcating Catholic doctrine. To that end, the roles of sponsors, and the added role of the shepherd, are reoriented around the notion of accompaniment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
